Italy: Florence Life Hope Center Inaugurates New Facility

The Italian Adventist Church recently inaugurated the Life
Hope Center of Florence and the new building of the Adventist Institute of
Biblical Studies—“Villa Aurora.” The two-day event stood under the motto: “We
serve God with hospitality.” On Sabbath more than 600 people attended the
program—in person or virtually—through online streaming and radio broadcast.
Pastor Karl Johnson, a French theology professor from Collonges sous-Saléve,
presented the main message.

Life Hope Center of Florence exists to share peace,
proximity, and the hope Jesus wants to give. This is best accomplished through
extending hospitality to the families of those recovering from illness in a
nearby Florentine hospital in the context of a Christian environment.

All projects of the Life Hope Center aim to convey the
Christian message of hope. In the guesthouse at Villa Aurora, the vegetarian
cafeteria serves meals to the Institution’s students and to outside visitors.
It is also open to the public for vegetarian cooking classes. The library and
counseling center area will also be available to the community.
