Loma Linda University Health is proud to announce the grand opening of its newly expanded surgical oncology clinic within the Loma Linda University Cancer Center in Loma Linda, California, United States. The expansion marks a significant step in the institution’s commitment to providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for cancer patients throughout the region.

The revamped clinic occupies a space previously used for International Heart Institute clinical purposes but has undergone renovations to better serve surgical oncology patients. The new facility allows the Cancer Center to offer more comprehensive services, streamline patient care, and create a welcoming environment for patients and staff.

The expanded clinic features advanced surgical technology, increased capacity for patient appointments, and updated patient care areas. The space is designed to foster a healing environment, with carefully chosen design elements and comfortable amenities for patients and their families.

“At Loma Linda University Health, our mission is to offer the best possible care to our patients,” said Kristina Chase, director of oncology services at the Cancer Center. “With this expansion, we’re able to provide a range of surgical oncology services, allowing our team to address a wider variety of patient needs. The new clinic’s layout and technology reflect our commitment to innovation and excellence in cancer care.”

In addition to offering advanced surgical procedures, the clinic will also provide patients with access to multidisciplinary care teams, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurses, and support staff, ensuring a seamless care experience.

The new surgical oncology clinic represents a key milestone in Loma Linda University Health’s ongoing efforts to expand its cancer treatment capabilities and meet the growing needs of the community. It aligns with the institution’s holistic approach to patient care, emphasizing the physical and emotional well-being of patients and their families.

“We are excited to welcome patients to our new clinic and to continue providing exceptional care in an environment designed with their needs in mind,” Chase said.

According to its website, the facilities include a collaborative approach to care. “Our surgical oncologists work closely with our collaborative team of cancer specialists to ensure your best health outcome remains the priority throughout your course of treatment,” it reads.

The also include tumor boards. “Our panels of cancer experts coordinate with physicians from various disciplines, including medical and radiation oncology, to properly assess and implement your treatment plan,” it reads. Also access to innovative research and expertise. “As an academic medical center, we train future surgical oncologists and conduct innovative cancer research and clinical trials,” it reads. “This type of expert access ensures that you receive top-quality, advanced care no matter your treatment plan.”

Finally, treatments include whole-person care and support. It reads, “in addition to our advanced surgical procedures, we offer whole-person support for mind, body and spirit during your care experience.”
