Gabriel leads Adventist Review into the digital age: transforming traditional media, and integrating the ministry with the technological times, are both within his portfolio. Annie, his wife, and Alice, their little girl, fill Gabriel’s heart with the deepest joy.

Director, Experience Design & Innovation

With a background in Cognitive Science, Experience Design, corporate executive leadership and entrepreneurship, Daniel is focused on implementing a user-centric, behaviorally-driven approach to the way Adventist Review engages with its end-users. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Human-Technology Interaction.

Daryl Gungadoo

Media Lab Director

Daryl leads the AR Media Lab, the innovation branch of Adventist Review, with the task of exploring and developing new upcoming media platforms (like Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Gamification), as a means to spread the Gospel. Daryl has worked previously as the R&D Engineer for Adventist World Radio.

Assistant editor Beth Thomas is a pastor’s wife and mother of two. She has been an editor and writer for Adventist publications since 2016. Beth holds a bachelor’s degree in Writing for the Media from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Pr. Jonathan Walter, assistant editor for Adventist Review Ministries and member of the inVerse Bible Study show on Hope Channel, has served globally as a pastor, missionary, and evangelist, and has held various communications and leadership roles within the Seventh-day Adventist Church as well as supportive ministries.

Kimberly Brown

Finance Manager

Joining the Adventist Review staff in 2015, Kim assists with management direction, publishing partners, and financial administration. She received a B.S. in Organization Management from Columbia Union College, followed by an M.A. in Human Sciences from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.

Operations Manager

Merle has been part of the Adventist Review team since 2001. As operations manager, she is responsible for assuring publications get to readers on time including working with our translators and other publishing houses. She also designs KidsView.

Marvene Thorpe-Baptiste

Editorial Assessment Coordinator

Marvene joined the Adventist Review team in September 2007. After obtaining a degree in elementary education from the University of the Southern Caribbean (formerly Caribbean Union College), she spent several years teaching in Adventist schools in Trinidad and Tobago. She then attended Howard University, pursuing additional coursework in Speech Pathology. Marvene and her husband, Valentine, live in Silver Spring, Maryland, and have four adult children and four precious grandchildren.

Sharon Tennyson

Distribution Coordinator

As distribution coordinator for Adventist Review, Sharon treasures the relationships with fellow SDAs all over the world her work brings her in contact with. She and her husband Dr. Mack Tennyson, live in Western North Carolina close to two of their five daughters.

Judy Thomsen

Correspondence Editor

Judy joined the staff at the end of 2007 for special projects and as correspondence editor. Though retired she continues communicate with readers, feeling blessed to have friends around the world. Judy enjoys people, reading, playing the piano, walking and being with family.
