CV

Maybe the novel coronavirus pandemic has moved you to poetic reflection. We offer one of ours, CV, by way of inspiration, and welcome the possibility of sharing yours should it come to us via the evaluation process at [email protected], subject line: cv poetry.—Editors.

Mercy, Lord,

Curricula vitae have never read like this.

And now they put the enemy to music

—so they say—

So they can put the evil thing to flight.

Might they have lingered at Your feet to learn?

Such be the genius of Your answer

Where history’s crime of crimes most heinous ever

Has turned the universe to right.

It should be called curriculum mortis,

Since this is no vitae, only c. terror;

But Christus still is Victor of the night.
