Inter-America Division Leaders Connect with Local Elders

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America
continues its online series to reach its constituents. This time top leaders at
the Inter-American Division (IAD) headquarters in Miami, Florida, expect to engage more than 50,000 church
elders spread across the territory during a live program on Saturday, February
22, 2014.

“We want to motivate our church elders to
continue pursuing a personal spiritual revival to be more effective in the
congregation they minister to,” said Hector Sanchez, IAD ministerial secretary.
“We want to highlight the importance of the church elder, his or her commitment
to God, to the home, church, and community.”

closer walk with God is vital to the growth and spiritual development of church
elders as they shepherd the flock while pastors oversee three, four, ten or
more congregations every month of the year, according to Sanchez.

The one-and-a-half hour program will be a time of
reflection, inspiration and motivation as part of the church’s continued
education activities during the year of the non-formal education focus
throughout the IAD.

Those interested in the project can tune in to watch
the live program on Sabbath, February 22, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. Miami Time. The
program will be carried in English, Spanish and French at the IAD web channel at
