Gems of Truth, a media ministry, has been able to significantly reach more teenagers and young adults since its beginnings in 2023. In the beginning the ministry launched vidoes that were recorded with just an iPhone. In the meantime the ministry has expanded, reaching nearly 2 million viewers to date, and prompting downloads of Bible study guides from across the globe.
In 2024, determined to meet the rising demand for its content and enhance production quality, Gems of Truth set out to establish a small recording studio. With an initial US$5,000 grant from the Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASi), the ministry invested in essential studio equipment, including a professional camera, lenses, lighting, a gimbal, and stands. This upgrade enabled the production of two cinematic evangelistic episodes and 309 videos that have reached more than 239,000 individuals, with more than 1,000 Bible study guides distributed.
Vincent Bujor, the ministry’s founder, explained the moment that set the course for the ministry. “We started this ministry recording videos on our phone at home, unsure where it would lead,” he recalled. With little impact in their first six months, he and his wife prayed, asking God to show them where to take the ministry. The next day a prescheduled video was posted to YouTube. “A video on Daniel 2 and the Dead Sea scrolls went viral—it reached nearly 1.6 million views and changed everything for us,” Bujor shared. That viral success, which saw viewership skyrocket from a few hundred to tens of thousands overnight, led them to take the next steps in their ministry, focusing on leading their viewers to Bible studies and connecting more personally through texting with the ministry’s team.

The ministry’s impact extends beyond online metrics. Bujor shared the story of Louis, a prisoner in Oregon, who began studying the Bible with an Adventist mentor after watching one of their videos. “It’s incredible to see how a single video can plant a seed that grows into a life-changing journey,” he said.
Looking ahead, Gems of Truth plans to use the remaining funds to complete its recording studio, with the goal of producing one long-form video each week along with four additional evangelistic episodes. “With the right equipment we can reach even more young people who are seeking truth,” Bujor explained. He explained the limitations of their previous equipment and that these limits slowed production. “This upgrade isn’t just about better production—it’s about sharing God’s message more effectively.”
“The thing with media ministry is that you don’t see all the fruits right away. You do a lot of sowing of seeds, but the numbers speak for themselves.” Bujor shared his gratitude for the ASi’s financial assistance that directly supports the ministry. “We’re deeply grateful for ASi’s support—it has enabled us to take our ministry to a whole new level.”
