Grace to Follow

“We've all walked graceless miles in our discipleship, and yet our Lord has never said, ‘You can no longer follow Me.’ We've cringed through tempests real and imagined, and He has never left the boat. We've battled for new roles and better burdens: He calmly offers us a cross. There are no deficit-less disciples, so the Gospels tell us—just those who do not cease to follow. Grace is more patient than we know: Christ's calendar counts every day, not only perfect ones. The Lord with whom we journey vows, ‘I will never leave you or forsake you’ (Heb 10:5). Stay with Him on the road, and stay in grace.”
