The Adventist television channel Hope TV will be available throughout Germany on Vodafone’s cable network beginning March 3, 2021. Hope TV thus expands availability via cable in Germany by 7.2 million households.
On February 17, with the approval of Hope Media Europe’s supervisory board, the contract for the inclusion of Hope TV in the cable network of Vodafone was signed, according to a press release from the church-owned media center. This would allow approximately 14.5 million people to watch Hope TV on television. Hope TV plans to celebrate this event with a live blessing service on March 20 at 10:30 a.m. Central European Standard Time.
Now on the Air, Nationwide, on Cable
“We are pleased that we can now reach even more people in Germany via the Vodafone cable network,” Klaus Popa, CEO of Hope Media Europe, said at the signing of the contract. “Hope TV offers a wide range of television programs with hopeful topics of faith and life.”
Project manager Marc Naumann added, “Hope TV can now be received across Germany via satellite, internet, and Vodafone’s cable network. Loyal supporters and sponsors are the backbone for receiving Hope TV. Together, we want to spread hope and bring Jesus into every home.”
In addition to the Vodafone cable network and some other regional cable networks, Hope TV can also be received via satellite (Astra) and IPTV, a free internet TV app, according to Naumann. Via its website, the television broadcaster also offers a livestream service and an extensive media library.
About Hope TV
Hope TV has been broadcasting German-language programs since 2004. In 2007, the station moved into its own television studios in the newly built media center in Alsbach-Hähnlein near Darmstadt. In January 2009, the Hessian State Authority for Private Broadcasting and New Media granted a license for its own 24-hour channel. For its 10th anniversary, the name of the TV station was changed from Hope Channel German to Hope TV. Hope TV is part of the international Hope Channel family, which was founded in the United States in 2003 and now consists of 61 national channels.
