Grace That is Greater
by

“Why is it we are so reluctant to cast ourselves upon the mercy of our Lord? Because we fear, at heart, that grace may not be deep enough to purge the warehouse of our sins. Perhaps the Lord will save us if we beat our breasts, our backs, our brains. We carefully preserve each self-indicting note: we archive sins that heaven has forgiven. We mumble old confessions, foolishly assuming that Jesus might one day thank us for remembering what He has chosen to forget. But what Jesus has forgotten, we have a right to forget. The archive of our past is gone: the prison door is open. Step into liberty—and stay in grace.”
