Comments Guidelines
by
We are delighted that you have chosen to respond to the material on our website. We, at Adventist Review, will moderate the comments, to keep this a safe, open, welcoming space. If you would like to write to us, please use this email address: letters@adventistreview.org.
Here are further details on how your comments will be moderated:
Relevance
Please keep your comments germane to the article at hand. Any comments that use this platform as a personal soapbox will be deleted. What does that mean? If, for example, the article is about eating broccoli and you attempt to use the comments to talk about your stance on Gucci products, your comment will be deleted.
Suitability
Please avoid foul language and explicit content. You may have the most perspicacious point, but if it is couched in inappropriate language, it will be deleted. It’s not only what you say but also how you say it.
Manner
When talking to each other through a screen via text, it is all too easy to forget the simple lesson of kindness. Remember that it is OK to disagree, but that does not warrant being disagreeable. Irrelevant ad hominem, libelous, and defamatory attacks are included in this prohibition. Let us model constructive, healthy Christian dialogue.
We reserve the right to delete comments that do not comply with our guidelines. If a commenter repeatedly contravenes these guidelines, we may temporarily suspend their participation or permanently ban them as the situation warrants.
We hope that as you engage in the comments you will find greater clarity and understanding or provide feedback and insight to the community of readers.
