Blessed Forgetfulness
by

“As we lift the song of Moses and the Lamb beside that sea that looks like glass, is it even imaginable that one of us—the best of us—will raise a hand to say, “Please notice how I contributed to being here?” Whatever grace has powered us to do—the victories won; wrong habits overcome; the acts of kindness sometimes done—will never even wrinkle thought among the blood-washed ones. True gratitude will yet erase each trace of all that doesn’t grow from grace. Grace promises us that God through Christ forgets our sins, and grace teaches us to forget what good His power works through us (Matt 25:37-39). So stay in grace.”
