ANTICIPATING GRACE
by

Grace is far more than God’s reaction to our sin. The Lord who came and lived with us isn’t surprised by all our brokenness. Yes—Jesus always calls the ones He saves to His unshadowed holiness. But His willingness to be our “advocate with the Father” isn’t Plan B, a regrettable necessity because we fall so short of His unending glory. We are loved without regret: we are forgiven by a grace more eager than we are to ask for it. Jesus offers us His nail-scarred hands before we know the reason for His wounds, or what we did to cause them. He loved us first, and loves us best. So stay in grace.
