by

Penang Adventist Hospital, a Seventh-day Adventist healthcare institution in Malaysia, has been named the Nuclear Medicine Service Provider of the Year 2023 in Asia Pacific by GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific. This award not only recognizes the hospital’s healthcare services but also demonstrates its unwavering commitment to embodying Jesus’ healing ministries, hospital leaders said.

The Adventist-managed institution is the first private hospital in Northern Malaysia to develop a complete nuclear medicine facility. The hospital has always endeavored to provide a wide range of cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, assuring the best possible care for their patients. “The hospital’s commitment to providing cutting-edge medical technology has catapulted it to the forefront of the region’s healthcare environment,” its leaders said.

The recent installation of the first digital PET/CT scanner is one of the important breakthroughs for the institution. Leaders explained that the new technology will upgrade illness identification and allow for exact tracking of patient response to oncology therapies. The hospital hopes to improve patient outcomes and diagnostic capacities by investing in this ground-breaking technology.

“We are thrilled and honored to receive the Nuclear Medicine Service Provider of the Year 2023 award from GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific,” Ronald Koh Wah Heng, Penang Adventist Hospital chief executive officer, said. “This recognition is a testament to our exceptional Nuclear Medicine team’s expertise, dedication, and unwavering commitment to providing quality patient care.”

Penang Adventist Hospital’s Nuclear Medicine team is made up of highly skilled specialists with considerable experience in nuclear imaging and therapy. Their diligent efforts in implementing the most recent advances in nuclear medicine have made a substantial contribution to the field of health care.

“This achievement represents an important milestone for Penang Adventist Hospital, proving its commitment to patient care quality,” hospital leaders said. “It demonstrates the hospital’s commitment not only to remaining at the forefront of medical innovation but also to enhancing the health and well-being of the community they serve through a wholistic approach.”

They added, “As Penang Adventist Hospital celebrates this distinguished award, the institution stays committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and individualized healthcare services. The hospital, which is rooted in Jesus’ healing ministries, strives to give the best treatment to patients throughout the region.”
