From January 10 to 24 the usually quiet grounds of Kendu Adventist Hospital complex were transformed into a vibrant center of spiritual awakening during the NET event titled “The King Is Coming; Arise.” Organized by the West Kenya Union Conference (WKUC) in partnership with Kendu Adventist Hospital, the event drew believers and seekers from all walks of life, including families, youth, hospital staff, and visitors, creating a nightly atmosphere charged with prayer, worship, and anticipation.

Each evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the messages extended far beyond the hospital grounds, reaching homes and hearts through Hope Channel Kenya, YouTube, Adventist World Radio (AWR) King’s FM, Radio Tarumbeta, and AWR Baraton FM. Digital platforms recorded thousands of live viewers nightly, while radio broadcasts carried the message across counties and beyond borders, allowing many who could not attend in person to join in the spiritual experience.

The opening days of the series were led by Philip Gai, CEO of Kendu Hospital, who laid a strong biblical foundation through sermons that awakened minds and stirred hearts. With clarity and pastoral warmth he unpacked Scripture in ways that built faith brick by brick. His messages were punctuated by moments of deep reflection and prayer, giving participants space to absorb and respond to the truths shared.

The series concluded with John Bradshaw, president of the It Is Written ministry. His sermons, delivered with conviction and prophetic insight, emphasized the nearness of Christ’s return. Night after night, attendees responded with raised hands and kneeling hearts, demonstrating the profound impact of his messages. Prophetic themes were not only taught but deeply felt, creating a sense of urgency and personal reflection among listeners.

Music played a central role throughout the event. Choirs lifted hearts through hymns that ranged from soft and reflective to powerful and triumphant, complementing the messages and enhancing the worship experience.

Youth sessions, led by Ray Kesis, a professor, addressed faith, identity, purpose, and practical life challenges. Participants from Kendu Adventist School of Medical Sciences, Ruby Kraft Comprehensive School, and other institutions engaged fully, leaving energized, grounded, and challenged to live boldly for Christ in a complex world.

Children also participated in dedicated sessions guided by Sellah Kimani, who used interactive lessons, stories, and demonstrations to teach health, discipline, and faith. Laughter and learning filled the sessions as young hearts were nurtured in both body and spirit.

The event culminated with 370 individuals publicly declaring their commitment to Christ through baptism, marking a high point of spiritual renewal. Heaven is speaking. Prophecy is unfolding. The King is coming. Many chose to arise and embrace new beginnings in Christ.
