Session Spectacle

Young Delegates

Members of the Adventist Review staff assembled the youngest delegates from each division for a roundtable interview at the Omni Hotel Friday afternoon, June 25. They ranged in age from 23 to 34, and represented the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. The Adventists

The new one-hour documentary film now airing on Public Broadcasting stations in the United States will have a special showing on Wednes- day, June 30, at 4 p.m. in the Georgia Dome. Filmmaker Martin Doblmeier will be present to discuss the film before its presentation. The film explores the history and contemporary story of Seventh-day Adventists, whose members are some of the healthiest, longest-living people on the planet.

Enditnow

Ted Wilson, General Conference president just over 24 hours, is the first to sign the enditnow petition circulated at the Atlanta General Conference ses- sion on Sabbath afternoon, June 26. Enditnow is a global initiative jointly sponsored by General Conference Women’s Ministries and the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA). Get 'em While They're Hot

Sanitarium, the health food company owned and operated by the South Pacific Division, is handing out an estimated 5,000 free breakfasts every day between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and noon at their exhibit in Building C.

Julie Praestiin, corporate communications director, says, “Sanitarium has done really well in the past 12 months—exceeding our budget. We now own number one and number two in the breakfast category in Australia and New Zealand. So we want to share those blessings and show the Adventist community just how successful the health food business can be.”

Sanitarium plans to distribute more than 60,000 food samples during the session.

Wrong Shoes

Just before going onstage to sing with the Oregon Men’s Chorus, Bill Nickless’ mother, Lynne, pointed out that he still had on his white running shoes. After a quick change of footwear with his father in the hallway, he was able to join his colleagues in an appearance more in accord with their standards.
