orn and raised in East Los Angeles, California, most of Jose Roja’s extended family members are devout Catholics. Rojas learned of the Adventist message in 1970 and was baptized. He received his call to the ministry in 1982 and began working for the North American Division at the age of 33. His line of work involves frequent travel, yet he prioritizes for what matters most.
“Family’s first,” Rojas said. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Ruthie, and their four children: Veronica, 19; Angelica, 16; Gabriel, 14; and Maria, 6. He also delves into music with his guitars, engages in photography with his camera, and spends quiet moments sculpting or painting.
On Sabbaths Rojas is often found behind a pulpit. He is a pastor for Millennium Ministries Seventh-day Adventist Church, located in Silver Spring, Maryland. “This is one of the great secrets of Adventism,” Rojas said, “that I’ve been at a local church for several years while serving at NAD!”
